MY TAROT JOURNEY

Hi there!

My name is Alina and I was born in the Vedado district of Havana. Like most Cubans, regardless of religious affiliation, I got very early exposure to the Afro-Cuban tradition of Santeria, combined with Allan Kardec spiritism.  Little Me was fascinated by churches and cemeteries, rituals, mediumship, and divination methods like Diloggun, the reading of the caracoles (cowrie shells), or the "throwing of the chain." We immigrated to the United States when I was seven, and by middle school, my interest in mysticism, metaphysics, and spirituality had taken hold. I loved the horoscope sections of newspapers and magazines, and glued myself to the TV whenever Walter Mercado came on.

FAST FORWARD TO MY EARLY 20s

Some say you shouldn't buy your own Tarot cards, but I went to a local shop to do exactly that. I lingered over every deck on the shelf until the owner came over and handed me the Aquarian Deck. That night, with the booklet of card meanings in hand, I interpreted my very first and weirdly specific reading. The following day, the young woman I had read for, returned to tell me everything I told her had happened overnight. I don’t believe there was anyone more surprised than me, but the experience taught me to trust the messages in the cards, no matter how outrageous or unlikely, and I’ve been doing exactly that for more than half my life.

EVOLUTION

My readings also provide valuable insights that are useful to decision makers who understand that sometimes metrics aren’t enough; that there are components to strategy that are not quantifiable. Through my professional experience in the different stages of project management, including corporate, government, non-profit, startups, and multinational companies, I bring a unique perspective and skill set to career and organizational Tarot readings. My ability to understand and navigate various organizational cultures and team dynamics, combined with my intuition and interpretation of the symbolism of the cards, allows me to provide fresh perspectives on sometimes complex business issues. This experience has equipped me with the ability to offer decision makers honest and unbiased insights, with an openness not usually expressed by peers or staff. When they come to me, they don’t expect a spreadsheet. They expect a different point of view to consider to get the edge they’re looking for.

FREE WILL

Whether in business or personal matters, the Tarot can give you an indication of possible outcomes, but no one is stuck with those predictions. Only you can decide what actions to take at any given time. Remember, Tarot readings are not a substitute for professional advice, but a complement to it.

"To define is to limit."

When something is given a definition,

it is confined to the parameters of the definition itself and limited as a result.
